If I recall correctly, you had to remove the keyboard to access the remaining screws. The keyboard is rather flimsy, and you need to bend it a bit so that the tabs keeping it in place come lose. Also; the panel above keyboard covers some screws, it need to remove it first. But it’s some time since I worked on that particular laptop, so I am not 100% sure on these..

Hello! I found your blog googling for help on repairing my good old S7010.
I’m trying to repair the broken (noisy) cooling fan. But it seems to be difficult to open it enough to get my hands onto the fan. Removed all the screws but the cover doesn’t want to come off. I’m afraid I will break something. Could you please help me on how to proceed?

Niin joo, tuo osoite ei välttämättä toimi ilman Yliopiston verkkoa. Lyhyesti: siinä on testattu avaruusolosuhteita varten kasvien kasvatusta ledivalossa ja on todettu että 50:50-sekoitus punaista ja sinistä tuotti parhaan tuloksen ja lähes samanlaisen lopputuloksen kuin loisteputkivalo.

Artikkelista: “blue LED had a peak emission at 440 nm, red LED at 650 nm, and far-red LED at 720 nm”. Totesivat että tuo 720nm-valo ei oikeasti ollut erityisen tarpeen, kunhan oli noita kahta ensimmäistä saatavilla.

Tämän hetken tilanne on että tuo valo on edelleen käytössä ja toimii hyvin. Rinnalle hankittu loisteputkipohjainen valo sen sijaan on himmennyt ja on aika kyseenalaisesti enää hyödyksi.

Minulla on osat pariin samankokoiseen led-kasvivaloon odottamassa rakentamista, mutta projekti on vielä toistaiseksi vaiheessa. Uusiin laitan pelkästään punaista ja sinistä, koska kokeilujeni perusteella UV ei ole oikeasti tarpeen ja UV-ledit maksavat isosti.

Raportoi ihmeessä siitä miten nuo teholedit toimivat. Normaalit siniset ja punaiset ledit menevät hieman ohi lehtivihreän optimialueelta, mutta on esitetty sellaisia mielipiteitä että apupigmenttien ansiosta ne voisivat toimia silti lähes yhtä hyvin. Ja tosiaan noita perus-punaisia ja -sinisiä saa teholedeinä ja halvemmalla, joten minua kiinnostaa kovasti toimivatko ne.

Todella mielenkiintoinen tämä sinun led-kokeilu. Nyt kun näistä päivityksistä on noin vuosi aikaa, niin miten toimii nykyään? Oletko kenties hankkinut uusia valaisimia, vai kuopannut vanhat turhina?

Itse suunnittelin hankkivani power ledejä, varmaan Osramin Luxeon 1W ledejä. Oletko harkinnut näitä vaihtoehtona?

Tarkoituksena olisi kokeilla kasvattaa yrttejä läpi talven pienellä sähkönkulutuksella. Persiljaa, tilliä, ehkä salaattia ja semmoista. :)

Wich screw connects the ground, you dont happen to have a picture? I had a similar problem with loud cooler (only the fan itself has to be replaced). When i assembled the computer the backlight didnt work. Didnt notice any screws missing.

Thank you very much for help. I never had an idea this problem could be ground related.
